Student Scholarship
Scholarship Type
- Internal Scholarship
- Scholarships awarded by Yonsei University include Yonsei Special Awards, Eagle Scholarship, Academic Award, University Designated Scholarship and others.
- External Scholarship
- Scholarships funded by external sources including those from Dongbu Cultural Foundation, Lotte Scholarship Foundation and others.
- National Scholarship
- Scholarships offered by the government include Korean Student Aid Foundation scholarships and National Grants.
International students may apply for Korean Government Scholarship Programs. Detailed information is available at the official Study in Korea website.

- Fund Scholarship
- There are currently over 250 scholarships that are funded by alumni or individual sponsors, including Congress Yonsei, Yonsei Lions, Venerable Cho Yo Han and others.

Scholarship Payments

Scholarships are disbursed to colleges and are granted to students via reduction of payments on their tuition bills. If, for any reason, scholarships are to be disbursed to the student’s bank account, students must register their bank information on the Yonsei portal system. The scholarships will be paid to the registered account after the final date of the registration. | Log in to the Yonsei Portal (http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr) -> Academics Information System -> Academics Management -> Registration -> Print/Registration -> Register Account Number -> Click on the pop-up balloon -> Enter bank name and account number, then press enter -> Save (Change or New Registration) |
